September 28, 2024

< “Tell Me“, I guess it’s between calm and mournful. It contains lyrics that can be used in real life, so I think many people can relate to the song.  I thought the mic as a person and I really sang as if I was acting. >

< It’s an R&B hip-hop song with a theme of ‘rain’ which explains the pain and regret after a breakup. I wanted to maximize the emotion like storytelling with the point of view of both men and women. I chose ‘Purple Rain’ as the title because the purple color feels mysterious and gloomy so it’ll suit the emotion of the song. >
< I always think “let’s make a song that no one can feel ashamed of whenever and wherever they hear it” every time I start working. Even though it’s not going to be the best, but at least it’s not going to be embarrassing. Also, I’m full of confidence. >

[Lim Hyunsik] Interview ‘Piece of BTOB’ – A deep melody like the sea which Hyunsik plays, “SWIMMING”

September 28, 2024

<  ‘SWIMMING’ is an alternative rock genre that I’ve liked since childhood. I gloomily expressed the deep love like the sea. I originally like sea so much, so I worked hard to capture the ocean feeling into the song. With the hope that everyone can also feel it, I also release the instrumental version of the song. >
< if you ever go to the sea, make sure to listen to the song there! If I have a chance, I also want to let you hear my solo tracks more often in the future. >

[Peniel] Interview ‘Piece of BTOB’ – Third main character, rapper with full of charisma Peniel’s “THAT GIRL”

September 28, 2024

<  If you only look at the lyrics, it sounds like a story of wanting to captivate a woman, but actually, the girl is a metaphor for Summer. It contains the thought of hoping for every kind of “Bad Vibe” can be gone because they want to feel the “Good Vibe” only. I hope everyone will listen to this and enjoy Summer. >
< It’s good to take a challenge on something!? I gained a little bit of confidence in singing, but still feel that I should work harder in the future. >

[Jung Ilhoon] Interview ‘Piece of BTOB’ – Second runner! A fancy man who’s wearing fancy shoes, Jung Ilhoon’s “Fancy Shoes”

September 28, 2024

< ‘Fancy Shoes’ is an urban hip hop with fast tempo which talking about the honest side of ‘me’ and a little bit romance. I think this one is a song that is so like ‘me’ among all the songs I’ve written. >
< Because many people told us that it’s hard to make a song that suits BTOB so…. What should we do? We have to write it ourselves!! >
